It has been a lonf while since I posted.

Quick update:

Life is good, busy.
Jas still rocks my world, he is the best thing that has ever happend to the kids and I.
Kids are doing fabulous, thier principal has stopped me in the hall to tell me they seem so much happier now.
Freak is still around but he is barely a blip in our lives atm.
This time of year is crazy busy for me at work...dang I'd like to quit, but I'm sucking it up.

I hope to post more soon...maybe? *grin* in the mean time *HUUUUUUGS* to all of you!

For easy xmas/hostess gifts that are not pricey!

I just found a recipe for a non edible gingerbread man wreath.

After its baked you spray it with spray adhesive and sprinkle irridencent white glitter onto it.

Then waeve a holiday ribbon through the entwined hands, and voila! A gingerbread man wreath! What fun!

recipe for the dough:

3 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup cinnamon
1 cup salt
1 1/2 cup hot water

roll out, cut gingerbread men, spread in a circle overlapping so thier hands are held.

Bake @ 250 for 40 mins.

Have fun!

In March I caught a purse-snatcher who stole girlvenus's purse (30 points). Last Wednesday I gave change to a homeless guy (19 points). Last Thursday I bought porn for falqour (-10 points). In flanders fields, where the poppies grow...

I heard on the radio that in BC, we are down to three veterans left alive from the first world war.

From the second world war, 30 vetrans die each week.

The radio commentator said those with a first voice, will soon no longer be.

I think they were wrong, in a way. I know remembrance/vetrans day was created to honor those who fell in the last world war, But I'd also like to think it honors those world wide who have been in the service, and have fallen in the line of duty.

There have been many wars, yes, while not being on a world wide scale, have affected many lives.

The Balkans, Desert storm, Vietnam, Iraq....I'm sure there are many more, but those are the ones that stick out in my mind, as they had some effect on me.

Today, lets honored those, who fell doing what they believed in, for their country, even if their country was not behind them, for doing what they felt they had to, perhaps not even having a choice to, for many of those who join the services have come from lives that held little options through out the years, to advance in thier lot in life, their education, to make a place in thier world where the felt they could belong, lets honor those for choosing a path that is not always seen as an honorable one. Lets honor those who fell, because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time, those who were innocent of any wrong doing, those whom thier own governments considered "peons, peasants, Not worth the lives they live"

For one day we can honor all of those who fell, whether or not you believe in their cause, today, For just even one moment, acknowledge.
